How to Get to Sardinia
You can get to Sardinia from one of three international airports: Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB) in the north, Cagliari Elmas Airport (CAG) in the south and Alghero-Fertilia Airport (AHO) in the west. Olbia is the primary gateway for the Costa Smeralda and north-east coast. Cagliari serves the south. There are seasonal flights to these airports from major UK and European cities. From outside Europe, travellers typically continue their journey to Sardinia via Rome (FCO) or Milan (MXP or LIN). Ferries from Genoa, Civitavecchia and Livorno also connect Sardinia to mainland Italy.
