How to Get to Salento
You can get to Salento from Brindisi airport, which is around 50 minutes north of Lecce by car. Direct flights operate from most major UK and European airports during summer, with reduced but off-peak services. Bari Karol Wojtyla airport (BRI) is the alternative for those flying into Puglia's main hub, around a 90 minutes’ transfer from Lecce. Car hire is strongly recommended for Salento, allowing you to uncover the best beaches, vineyards and villages at your leisure.
