The Area
Villa Elia is just 3 km from the charming town of Alezio and 7km from Gallipoli and a series of gorgeous sandy beaches. Alezio has some superb baroque buildings, high quality shops and cafes, a market, restaurants and a relaxed, authentic feel. Gallipoli is a true jewel of a town, set on a fortified peninsular and featuring some fabulous architecture as well as lively nightlife and some great restaurants. The delightful baroque town of Lecce is just 40 minutes drive, most certainly worth a visit.
Tennis courts and horse riding are within a 10 minutes drive from the villa!
We will also be pleased to organise several bespoke activities, such as wine tasting tours or day trips to Matera.

We absolutely LOVED Villa Elia. We do not have a single complaint. We picked fresh oranges for juice in the morning, put fresh figs on our salads for lunch, and enjoyed pomegranates for snacks. We were even brought fresh eggs from the chickens each morning. It was incredible. Villa Elia was our favorite part of the holiday. It really was. The pizza chef is an absolute must! We had him come back again we liked it so much.

From the moment we stepped in Villa Elia we knew it was a very special place. The owner's incredible eye for furniture and design created a unique and fascinating story for all our guests, from the vintage neon signage to the historic Napoleon daybed in our suite, the villa was truly incredible and big enough so that guests had ample private space, fantastic social rooms, a great cinema room, and cosy kitchen. We will definitely be returning to Villa Elia, it already holds so many magical memories for us and we can't wait to make more there.

We loved Villa Elia. There was plenty of room for 15 people to get together but also to do their thing alone or in smaller groups. A very tasteful and personal building, you do really feel at home after a day.

Villa Elia was a magical place for our family. So many fascinating elements located all in one property: from exploring the villa and surrounding property to family time at the pool to eating and drinking together around an authentically prepared Puglian table of specialties.
