What’s The Best Time of Year to Visit Sicily?

Sicily is a year-round destination, with each season offering a slightly different tempo. For warm weather and long, sunlit days, April to October is generally considered the best time to visit. Late spring and early autumn bring mild temperatures and lower rainfall. Whereas you’ll get near constant sunshine in July and August. November to March can be a rewarding alternative, as you’ll experience the splendour of Sicilian Christmas and New Year. How to Get to Sicily

You can get to Sicily via 4 key airports: Palermo Airport serves the north and west, while Catania Airport is the main gateway for the east coast, including Taormina, Syracuse and Mount Etna. Smaller airports at Trapani Airport and Comiso Airport provide convenient access to the west and southeast. Direct flights run from many European cities, and North America, with easy connections via hubs such as Rome or Milan. Regular ferry routes connect Sicily with mainland Italy and beyond. These run from Naples, Rome and Genoa to Palermo, as well as short crossings from Calabria to Messina; there are also high-speed links from Malta.
