Inside the main house, most of the ground floor is given over to a voluminous, beautifully furnished, open-concept communal area with numerous French doors opening out onto sea-view terraces. Flooded with light, this alluring space comprises two sitting areas with sink-in sofas and armchairs, a bar that's been hewn out of a single block of marble, and a most convivial dining area with a large table looking out to sea.

It is outside, however, that Koralli really comes into its own, thanks to its extensive, multi-faceted grounds.

A sweep of terrace with a series of shaded areas furnished for lounging and dining runs along the entire façade and round the sides of the villa, offering space for everyone to come together or find a quiet spot.

Next, wrapping around two sides of the irresistible, 18m-long, zero-edge pool is an expanse of emerald lawn that's perfect for fun and games.

On the far side of the pool, meanwhile, is an extended shaded area that is perhaps where you will end up celebrating those magical moments. It hosts a comfortably furnished living area, a large dining table, and a well-equipped al fresco kitchen and bar.

One last convivial spot in which you may wish to congregate is the private jetty, which is large enough for everyone to meet for a drink as the sun goes down over the Aegean. It could also improvise as a water-flanked dancefloor should the mood take you.

You will probably take most of your meals at the main al fresco dining area, a delightful spot in which to gather together for long, carefree meals overlooking the sea.

Whether you're looking for a special flower arrangement, a choice of exceptional wines, or a DJ and mixologist (or, why not, all three), nothing is out of the question.

One favourite enrichment is a local music and dance group, who have frequently entertained guests with wonderful performances. You will, of course, be encouraged to join in and sway to the rhythms of a hasapiko, hop to a sirtaki (Zorba-style) or just join the rotating circle to the inimitable, evocative sounds of Greek bouzoukis in full song.
