How to Get to West Sicily
You can get to west Sicily from Palermo airport. It’s around 60 to 90 minutes (by car) from most of the key towns in this area. Trapani Birgi (TPS) airport, closer to the region, has a number of seasonal flights from European cities and can be a convenient alternative. Hiring a car or chauffeur is essential for exploring this part of the island, as public transport connections between smaller towns and coastal areas are limited.
