- Stroll through the fortified baglio: Experience the heart of Scopello by visiting the central baglio, a picturesque farmstead. Once providing shelter for the local landowner’s animals and workers, this wonderfully evocative 18th-century construction now plays host to a couple of restaurants, a café and a shop, all of which spill out into the cobbled courtyard in the summer months. Scattered around the baglio are a few houses and restaurants, one of which, Le Terrazze, offers enchanting views out to sea.
- Relax at Guidaloca Beach: Just a short drive from the village, enjoy the pebbly shores of Guidaloca, perfect for a peaceful day by the sea.
- Explore the Tonnara di Scopello: Scopello is especially renowned for the Tonnara di Scopello, an old tuna fishery that stands as a testament to the village’s maritime heritage. This historic complex, set against a backdrop of towering sea stacks and crystalline waters, is a focal point for visitors, providing unique insight into the traditional Sicilian way of life that has persisted through the centuries.
- Hike in Lo Zingaro Nature Reserve: The village's strategic location also makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the Zingaro Nature Reserve, Sicily’s first natural reserve, which boasts a pristine stretch of coastline with secluded beaches, hiking trails, and a diverse array of flora and fauna.
- Enjoy local Sicilian cuisine: About 1km before Scopello there is a superb gastronomic hub, comprising a bar serving excellent rotisserie, cakes, ice creams and light lunches, a minimarket with an exceptional deli and butcher's counter, and a great selection of Sicilian wines, and a farm shop selling organic fruit and vegetables grown in the fields behind.
