NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.
Reduced Occupancy
During the shoulder seasons, Clementina has reduced prices for a group of up to 2 that only need up to 1 bedroom. The bedrooms not required will be closed, but the rest of the villa, its amenities and its grounds will remain at the complete disposal of guests. If unspecified, should you book the reduced occupancy rate, bedroom 1 will be prepared for you.About the property
Inside
accommodation at Clementina is all on one floor. On entering the large, luminous living and dining area, one is immediately aware of the general aesthetic of the property: pristine white walls and beamed ceilings serve as a canvas for colourful furnishings and the well-travelled owner's eclectic collection of artwork and bibelots.Accessed from one side of this space is a professionally equipped, top-range kitchen and a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and large glass doors leading out onto the surrounding terraces.
On the other, just off the living area, is the main bedroom, a double with a large, luxurious en-suite bathroom with tub and walk-in shower . Glass doors open out from this bedroom onto a comfily furnished sea-view terrace.
One last door leads off the living area to a snug TV room, from where one may access a guest WC and the third bedroom, a double-twin with en-suite shower room with access to the rear terrace.
Outside
Clementina is set in a large estate of several acres, spread over and around a hill. On top of the hill is the superbly panoramic and extremely inviting pool, which is served by a small kitchen and barbecue area and a shady pergola.Wrapping around the house below are a series of shady and sun-drenched terraces that are furnished for lounging and dining al fresco.
Where the terraces end, the undulating countryside begins, with olive and almond groves, wild flowers and Mediterranean maquis gently descending towards the sea.

About the Area
Clementina is set in rolling hills between the fascinating Baroque town of Noto and the beautiful natural reserve of Vendicari.
Noto is the most easterly of a chain of Baroque towns now protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is also perhaps the most perfect of the baroque towns, which were all rebuilt in flamboyant style following a major earthquake in 1693.
Vendicari Nature Reserve boasts some of the finest sandy beaches in Sicily, which are pleasingly under-populated even in the height of summer. Vendicari is also home to thousands of migrating flamingos, and sea turtles nest on its beaches.
If hiking in the hills is your thing, then there is some spectacular scenery in the rushing streams and waterfalls of Cassibile and at the Paleolithic burial sites in the dramatic valley of Pantalica.
Syracuse is just half an hour's drive away, and a day there is highly recommended to anybody spending a week or two at Clementina. A little further afield, the other baroque towns of Modica, Ragusa and Scicli are easily reachable in a day.
Considerations
This property is surrounded by countryside, some of which is unfenced and may include drops or steep slopes. We therefore recommend that younger children are supervised by an adult when exploring the grounds.
Due to the villa's location in unfenced countryside, wildlife can at times be spotted in the grounds; there is also a resident outdoor cat.

We have rented many villas in Italy and Clementina was one of the very best. It felt like a home, was beautifully decorated, the outdoor space was beyond expectations, the proximity to Noto was perfect, the homemade charcoal made us want to grill every night, and we loved the olive oil. We love to cook and this kitchen was so well equipped. It really is idyllic.
