Where the past steps into the future
Designed to exacting specifications by Paris based architect Fabrice Bejjani, Trullo Pinnacolo is right at the cutting edge of modern trullo conversions. It used the characterful original trullo as a springboard for the creation of a perfectly designed modern holiday home that is inserted into the surrounding landscape in such a way as to make the most of shade, views and breeze... Pinnacolo offers easy living at its easiest!

Trullo Pinnacolo was even more impressive than what I expected. If you want a six-suite villa this is the one for you. Thank you The Thinking Traveller for making my 70th birthday the best ever.

Trullo Pinnacolo is a secluded villa with a beautiful view, good layout, and numerous convivial spaces to gather outside with a large group. It was a great house overall.

Trullo Pinnacolo is a great setup for two families in a beautiful setting.

Trullo Pinnacolo was better than we could have hoped for, and the staff helped us with everything. We loved the long swimming pool. All the additional information regarding wine tastings, olive oil tastings, e-bike cycling etc was perfect and so well organised. Will definitely use The Thinking Traveller again!

Trullo Pinnacolo is situated in one of the most picturesque valleys of the Valle d'Itria, just 15 minutes’ drive from the charming old town centres of Ostuni, Cisternino and Ceglie Messapica. The Valle d'Itria is best known for its trulli, and nowhere are these more in evidence than in the picture-postcard town of Alberobello. Locorotondo, and Martina Franca are also well worth a visit. If you’re looking for beaches, the Adriatic coast offers long stretches of sand and some well recommended lidos from which to enjoy it. Further afield, Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto and Monopoli are justly famous towns waiting for you to unlock their secrets.

The Valle d'Itria has a rich culinary heritage that combines simplicity, deliciously flavoursome ingredients, and respect for tradition. One of our culinary experiences in the area will give you a unique insight into one of Italy's most genuine and tasty expressions of cucina povera.

The Valle d’Itria boasts its own “wine road”, running between the towns of Locorotondo and Martina Franca. The former, which perches atop its very own hill, is yet another of those picture-perfect towns that the Valle d’Itria excels in. After spending a little time exploring its achingly beautiful streets and admiring the wonderful views, we recommend you head down to one of the terraced vineyards below to taste Locorotondo’s renowned white wine, arguably the best in Puglia. We know the best places, so just say the word and we’ll organise a tour anda tasting for you.

When in Puglia you are rarely far from the sea and it is no coincidence that the region's inhabitants are great seafarers. Yachting and pleasure-boating are popular pastimes, as are most watersports. Indeed, it is the sea, its beaches and its translucent waters that make Puglia such a popular holiday destination not only for Italians but also for a growing number of overseas visitors.

No trip to Salento would be complete without a wine tasting to discover the famous Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes accompanied by some local delicacies. As well as these spectacular local wines, Puglia is typified by the millions of ancient olive trees scattered across the region, which produce extra virgin olive oil of a spectacular quality. A guided tour will give you a fascinating insight into the secrets of its production.

Valle d'Itria is home to some of Italy's most beautiful towns, offering a series of panoramic viewpoints from which you can admire the rolling hills, the dry stone walls and the trulli of the surrounding countryside and learn the history and culture of the region.Just across the Puglian border into Basilicata, another gem not to be missed: Matera.
