You can get to Hydra via Athens International Airport (ATH), with onward travel by ferry, private boat transfer or helicopter. Regular ferries and hydrofoils depart from Piraeus and reach the island in around two hours, while helicopter transfers take as little as 15 minutes and offer spectacular views of the Saronic Gulf. Private sea transfers can also be arranged for a seamless arrival. As a car-free island, Hydra is explored on foot, by water taxi or by traditional mule transport.
