The closest airport to Hydra is Athens International which most major airlines fly into. From Athens, you can take a 2-hour boat to the island or a 15-minute helicopter. Alternatively, we can organize a land transfer from Athens to mainland Metochi, which takes approximately 3 hours, and a 15-minute sea taxi over to Hydra. Another alternative is a private boat transfer from Anavyssos to the island, 2 hours.

The Saronic Islands do not have their own airports, but their close proximity to the mainland makes travel straightforward. Athens International Airport (ATH) – Eleftherios Venizelos is the closest airport to Hydra, welcoming both domestic and international flights.

To reach Hydra by sea, the most common route is from Piraeus, the port of Athens. Several ferry companies operate daily crossings, with journey times of approximately 2 hours.
