Airport assistance
Our car rental service includes complimentary assistance at the port or airport.
A representative from our car rental partner will be waiting for you at your point of arrival. We will provide them with all the necessary information to prepare your rental agreement before your arrival. This means that you can avoid waiting in queues and enjoy your vacation from the moment you arrive!
In-villa delivery
If you don't want to drive at the beginning or end of your holiday, we can organise a private port or airport transfer for your group, then have your rental car brought to the villa when you're ready to start exploring or arrange a pick-up from there before you depart.
Deliveries or collections confirmed with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to a €100 surcharge.
Disclaimers
Driving Licence Requirements:
- All drivers must hold a valid driving licence and be at least 20 years of age, with at least one year of driving experience.
- If you do not hold a UK or EU licence, you may be required by local authorities to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP). This is typically straightforward to arrange—contact the authority that issued your licence to request the relevant application form.
Insurance and Damage Coverage:
- Full Damage Waiver (FDW) insurance does not cover damage to tyres, wheels, clutch, undercarriage, interior, windscreens, glass, or mirrors.
- Theft Protection covers the vehicle itself but does not include personal belongings left inside.
- Additional fees may apply in certain circumstances during the hire period, including a €150 towing fee, a €100 claims handling fee, and a €50 administration fee for processing traffic fines or official notifications.
Responsibility and Disputes:
- The Thinking Traveller acts as an introducer to car hire companies and cannot mediate or negotiate on your behalf in the event of any damage, disputes, or disagreements with the rental provider.
We strongly recommend reading the full terms and conditions of your car hire agreement upon booking and prior to collecting your vehicle.

If you have secured a booking with us, you can arrange your desired experiences via your Account or by contacting your dedicated Villa Specialist.
