The Area

Inoe occupies a fabulously panoramic position looking out over Avlaki beach, the Ionian Sea, and the southwest coast of Paxos.

Less than 2km away to the east is Gaios, the main port of entry to the island. It is home to a chic little centre with cafés, bars, tavernas, boutiques and other amenities, and has frequent boat services to Corfu and Paxos' tiny sister island, Antipaxos. A little further away, though still within very easy driving distance, are the picturesque villages of Loggos and Lakka, both welcoming little harbours with idyllic seafront tavernas, shops and bars.

Paxos (measuring around 13km from north to south) is situated 15km south of Corfu and about 20km off the Greek mainland. It boasts some of the most stunning beaches anywhere in the Mediterranean and, as it's only accessible by ferry, has managed to remain relatively unspoilt by mass tourism.

The western seaboard of Paxos, on which Inoe sits, is dramatic, with cliffs, sea caves and stretches of rugged, rocky coastline and a scattering of beaches, including Avlaki below the house. The east coast, meanwhile, is home to many gentle sandy and pebbly beaches (most of which are within a 5-to-10-minute drive of Inoe). The hinterland is carpeted with olive groves, which produce some truly excellent oil, and dotted with authentic little villages, many of which have coffee houses and a taverna or two.

Private boat charters on Paxos and Antipaxos

Exploring the breathtaking coast by boat is a must and an excellent way to get to know the islands, stopping off for swims in secluded bays. The east of Paxos is gentle, with placid waters lapping pebbly beaches: the west has a more rugged, weather-beaten look that can only be fully appreciated from the water. To experience all this in style, why not book a day out on one of our private skippered charters.

Inoe is a well-appointed home in a beautiful location and with endless sea views. We loved the pool and the space - with 11 people in our group we weren't on top of each other, which was important. We also liked the décor of the home. The town of Gaios is easily accessible with the whole island of Paxos being about 15 minutes away from the villa.

Inoe villa was magnificent. We loved our stay and particularly loved the suggestion of in-house catering which was magnificent. As a family or group we would highly recommend this villa. thank you. We loved Paxos, and Antipaxos was an added bonus.
