The Area

Argentum sits amidst the olive groves of northwest Paxos, just 1.7km from Planos beach and the lovely harbour village, beach, tavernas and bay of Lakka. It's possible to walk to both in about 20 minutes (a little more walk back home, the first part of which is uphill).

Paxos' other harbour villages - Loggos and Gaios Town - are 10 and 15 minutes drive away respectively, meaning that it is easy to explore all three of the island's main centres. Gaios Town is the main port of entry and departure on Paxos and has frequent hydrofoil services to Corfu.

Paxos' tiny sister island, Antipaxos, has a couple of paradisiacal beaches and is a 15-minute boat ride away.

Paxos (measuring around 13km from north to south) is situated 15km south of Corfu and about 20km off the Greek mainland. It boasts some of the most stunning beaches anywhere in the Mediterranean and, as it's only accessible by ferry, has managed to remain relatively unspoilt by mass tourism.

The western seaboard is dramatic, with cliffs, sea caves and stretches of rugged, rocky coastline, while the east coast is home to gentle sandy beaches and views of the Greek mainland. The hinterland is carpeted with olive groves, which produce some truly excellent oil.

A holiday on Paxos is all about relaxing and taking it easy, all the more so if you book one of our villas on the island.

Find out more about travel to/from Paxos and about getting around while you're there.

Argentum was super and was an excellent choice for our family. The villa staff were always giving us their best.

VY, United Kingdom June 2022

The aesthetics of Argentum were really nice, and the grounds and pool were resort-like. The bathrooms were also large and updated. The villa was a fantastic way to experience Paxos. We would return.

Verified guest, July 2024

Our stay at Argentum was fabulous. The villa has lovely interiors, a beautiful outside kitchen and a lovely warm swimming pool. We would return.

Verified guest, August 2024

What stood out about Argentum for us was the outside area, especially the kitchen, which was impressive and the lovely sun beds. Everything was very clean and it's in a quiet location.
