Little Antiparos is an island of gentle Cycladic pleasures. Whether you’re lying on the beach or sipping on a coffee in the main town’s harbour, a sense of easy-going tranquillity pervades the air.

Getting there

Fly to Athens and then either take a connecting flight (30mins) or a ferry (2hr50 - 4hr20) to Paros. Then drive to Pounta and take a ferry (10mins) across.

  • Surface area: 45km2 (approx)
  • Population: 1,200 (approx)
  • The best view: from the top of Prophet Elias hill (308m)
  • Unmissable sight: Antiparos Cave (some of the oldest stalagmites and stalactites in Europe)
  • Military claim to fame: the bay of Agios Georgios was a secret submarine base during the 2nd World War
