Our stay at Villa Eterea was a flawless blend of luxury, comfort, and outstanding service. The villa was immaculate and the staff were amazing, so kind and friendly. The owner of our villa was so attentive - he helped arrange a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for us. It was amazing experience!

We loved our stay at Villa Eterea and would go back in a heartbeat1 5-star recommendation! Absolutely everything was top notch. The villa itself is gorgeous and the views of Fasano and the sea were spectacular. The Thinking Traveller staff were always friendly and accommodating. There were provisions in the fridge when we got there (most of which we pre-ordered), the coffee was excellent, the bar was stocked and the wine selection was welcomed. It was nice to have a cleaning person come by each day to tidy up and make the beds. This was a family vacation for 10 of us and our little granddaughter and everything was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended - Villa Eterea and also The Thinking Traveller.

Villa Eterea sits just outside the charming village of Selva di Fasano on the eastern flanks of the Valle d'Itria. Far below is the town of Fasano and a plain of olive groves that runs for dozens of kilometres along Puglia's Adriatic coastline. Apart from Selva di Fasano, the nearest town for shopping, restaurants and other amenities is Fasano. Most of your sight-seeing will centre on wonderful towns of the Valle d'Itria: Alberobello (a UNESCO Heritage Site thanks to its wonderful trulli-laden centre), Cisterino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Ostuni. All offer plenty to see, regular markets, as well as a good selection of bars, shops, restaurants and trattorie. One of the attractions of Villa Eterea is undoubtedly that guests may reach beautiful beach clubs, golf courses and spas nearby. World class sites a little further afield include the Baroque centre of Lecce and the stunning walled coastal towns of Otranto and Gallipoli.
For golf enthusiasts, Villa Eterea is only 6km (a mere 15-minute drive) away from the 18-hole golf course of Savelletri.

The Valle d'Itria has a rich culinary heritage that combines simplicity, deliciously flavoursome ingredients, and respect for tradition. One of our culinary experiences in the area will give you a unique insight into one of Italy's most genuine and tasty expressions of cucina povera.

The Valle d’Itria boasts its own “wine road”, running between the towns of Locorotondo and Martina Franca. The former, which perches atop its very own hill, is yet another of those picture-perfect towns that the Valle d’Itria excels in. After spending a little time exploring its achingly beautiful streets and admiring the wonderful views, we recommend you head down to one of the terraced vineyards below to taste Locorotondo’s renowned white wine, arguably the best in Puglia. We know the best places, so just say the word and we’ll organise a tour anda tasting for you.

When in Puglia you are rarely far from the sea and it is no coincidence that the region's inhabitants are great seafarers. Yachting and pleasure-boating are popular pastimes, as are most watersports. Indeed, it is the sea, its beaches and its translucent waters that make Puglia such a popular holiday destination not only for Italians but also for a growing number of overseas visitors.
