The Area
Villa Vallora rises on the side of a hill just an 8-minute walk from Kassiopi's pebbly-shingle Kalamiones beach in the northeast of Corfu. Kassiopi, with its tavernas, bars, shops, harbour and nightlife is between a 10- and a 15-minute walk away (depending on which part of town you go to).
Other beaches nearby include Agios Spiridon and lovely Avlaki, one of the island's most beautiful. Corfu Town, which is well worth a visit or two, is approximately 1 hour's drive south, and there are plenty of spots to stop off at for a swim on the way. Corfu's mountainous hinterland, where you can enjoy great walking and a different atmosphere from that of the coast, is within easy striking distance.
A visit to the deserted town of Old Perithia is an easy and fascinating trip, and there are also plenty of activities for kids nearby.
