NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.

Reduced Occupancy

During the shoulder seasons, Olika has a reduced price for a group of up to 6 that only need up to 3 bedrooms. The bedrooms not required will be closed, but the rest of the villa, its amenities and its grounds will remain at the complete disposal of guests. Should you book the reduced occupancy rate, bedrooms 2, 3, and another bedroom of your choice will be prepared.

Inside

accommodation at Olika is spread over a main house on three levels and a guest house.

The main house's front door leads in to welcoming hallway off which the ground floor accommodation flows. Immediately on the right is a guest WC, and then, on the left, is the extremely well proportioned and light-filled living room. Here one is introduced to the architectural and interior design aesthetics that characterise the property as a whole: lofty ceilings and walls are painted white, with the exception of a stone feature wall, which echoes the stone-clad exterior; smooth grey polished concrete flooring morphs into capacious, L-shaped built-in seating either side of a fireplace; walls of sliding glass doors open up to allow the space to drift effortlessly outside; magnificent sea views pan out to the horizon; and carefully chosen and strategically placed lighting creates a mellow atmosphere as dusk falls.

Heading back past the entrance hall, a corridor of sliding glass doors leads to the spacious and well-equipped kitchen-diner, which features concrete shelving, bespoke wooden cabinetry, a good-sized central island, a large, marble-topped table seating 10, and more glass sliding doors opening out front and back onto the surrounding terraces.

Past the kitchen, stairs lead up and down to the main house's sleeping quarters. Down a few steps, passing the laundry room, is a double bedroom suite with shower room and a living area with kitchenette opening out into a courtyard garden.

Heading up the stairs to the first floor, meanwhile, one comes to a landing, off which are three more bedrooms:

• the main bedroom, a generous, elegant double with private sea-view terrace and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with double sinks, a free-standing tub, a separate shower, and sliding glass doors opening out onto the terrace
• a double-twin bedroom with en-suite shower room
• a quadruple children's room with two sets of bunk beds and an en-suite shower room

The guesthouse, which is situated between the main house and the pool, is home to a suite, comprising a double-twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a living area with kitchen corner and wide sliding glass doors accessing a shady terrace.

Outside

Olika occupies a large beachfront plot and its al fresco areas have been designed to make the very most of the sea views, which tantalise from all areas of the property.

There are shady and sun-kissed spots all round the house, meaning that there's always somewhere to call your own or to join up with your fellow guests for moments of conviviality and fun.

The living room in the main house flows outside on two sides, where, overlooking the sea, is a wide expanse of sea-view terrace, including a reed-shaded pergola.

To the side of the house, meanwhile, is the main al fresco gathering area, which is accessed both from the living area and the kitchen-diner. Adorned by a pair of whispering olive trees and offering more magical sea views, this space has a large shaded area furnished with sofas, easy chairs and a dining table. The kitchen-diner also opens out to the opposite side of the property, where, once again, is a large reed-shaded pergola and another dining area.

Steps lead from the main al fresco dining area to the upper terraces, from where one may access the guesthouse suite. It too has a large shaded terrace.

A few steps across the gravel from the guesthouse suite, meanwhile, are the placid cobalt waters of the pool, which is surrounded by myriad flowers, plants and trees. Corfu is an extremely fertile and verdant island, and Olika is immersed in greenery, including wooded hills, olive groves, vineyards and flourishing bushes.

Back on the sea-facing terrace outside the living area, a path weaves through well-designed beds, planted with more colourful flowers, low-lying Mediterranean maquis and fragrant shrubs, before connecting with the steps down to the beach - in just a minute or so, you can be lying on the soft golden sand or swimming in the refreshing waters of the Ionian.

You may wish to know that the property next door, although rarely occupied, is visible from the pool area.

This property is surrounded by countryside, some of which is unfenced and may include drops or steep slopes. We therefore recommend that younger children are supervised by an adult when exploring the grounds.

Because of natural changes to the coastline from season to season, the sandy beach in front of this property may not look as it does in the photos.

Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
