NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.

Reduced Occupancy

During the shoulder seasons, Villa del Faro has reduced prices for groups that don’t need to use all the bedrooms. The bedrooms not required will be closed, but the rest of the villa, its amenities and its grounds will remain at the complete disposal of guests. If unspecified, the best bedrooms will be prepared for you.
For reduced occupancy bookings for 4 bedrooms sleeping 8, the choice of bedrooms is yours.
For reduced occupancy bookings for 3 bedrooms sleeping 6, the choice of bedrooms is yours.

Inside

accommodation at Villa del Faro is organised over two levels. A quintessential coastal house, it features pristine white walls, creamy beige floors, and a series of sliding glass doors and picture windows that both bring in the light and promote a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

The main entrance takes one into a hallway on the first floor. To the left, down a couple of steps, is open-plan living and dining area. The living area is furnished with a well-cushioned, in-built sitting area and is partially separated from the convivial circular dining table by a couple of steps and a low wall. Both these areas feature large sliding glass doors accessing the extensive sea-view terrace that runs along the entire façade of the first floor.

A set of doors lead from dining area to the fabulous professional kitchen, whose stainless steel worktops and top-of-the-range appliances will delight keen cooks and chefs alike.

A short section of corridor leads from between the kitchen and the dining area to first floor's sleeping area, comprising:

• the principal double bedroom with terrace access and an en-suite bathroom with hydromassage tub, separate shower and a Hammam area
• two double-twin bedrooms, also with terrace access. These two bedrooms are down a few steps from the master and share a bathroom with separate shower and tub.

Back in the corridor, a flight of stairs takes one down to part of the ground floor, where there is a twin bedroom with adjacent shower room.

Back on the first floor, between the living area and the kitchen, a second flight of stairs leads down to the ground floor proper, which is home to the remainder of the accommodation:

• a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub and separate shower
• a double bedroom with a single divan and en-suite bathroom with tub
• a central living area accessing the pool-level terraces
• a cinema room with a projector and a large screen

Outside

Villa del Faro has been designed to make the most of its fabulous views, and this aspect is reflected in its wonderful variety of panoramic terraces.

The first floor boasts a spacious L-shaped terrace that may be accessed from both the living and the dining area. It combines a large shaded dining area and a glass-fronted lounge area, both of which look out over the pool area, Santa Maria di Leuca, the lighthouse from which the villa takes its name, and the sea.

Down below, accessed by a flight of external steps from the first floor terrace and from some of the ground floor rooms, is the magnificent pool area. Here, a long retractable canopy offers shade for an al fresco lounge, while two sides of the pool are given over to a comfortably furnished solarium, a bar and a couple of decked outdoor showers. The stunning gated infinity pool itself is divided into three sections: an L-shaped swimming area accessed by shallow, wide steps and featuring a pair of cascades issuing from a stone wall; a smaller children's pool and a Jacuzzi.

Behind the pool area is a covered dining area and a large bathroom with shower. On its own little terrace, and ideally positioned to serve both al fresco dining areas, meanwhile, is a barbecue.

While the views from all these areas are superb, arguably the best are to be had from the roof terrace, where it is possible to lose yourself in the beauty of all that surrounds you. Coming back down to earth, the side of the property is given over to a driveway, a sloping expanse of green lawn and a wooded area criss-crossed by paths.

Villa del Faro features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop from the infinity edge so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.

Please note that there is no real shallow end in the pool, whose minimum depth is 1.45m. There are, however, quite wide, shallow steps for access and a separate shallow pool (depth 70cm) for younger children.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

The number of steps that must be negotiated to get into and/or around this property might make it unsuitable for people with mobility problems.

Stray cats may be seen in the villa grounds, however they should not enter the house unless encouraged to do so.
