Please note that whilst Akrothea technically has 6 bedrooms (if one includes the mezzanine level twin), the maximum number of guests remains 10 (including children).
NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.

Reduced Occupancy

During the shoulder seasons, Akrothea can be rented at reduced rates by groups wishing to use a smaller number of the available bedrooms. The bedroom(s) that guests wouldn’t need would simply be closed off but the rest of the villa, all its amenities and its grounds would remain at their complete and private disposal. Unless otherwise specified, the best room(s) would be prepared for you.

Inside

mirroring the size of the 10-acre grounds outside, and communicating with them seamlessly, the interiors of Akrothea are spacious, bright and beautifully appointed.

The central, single-storey part of the villa is home to a large, luminous, triple-size, open-concept living and dining area and kitchen. Access to the surrounding terraces is provided by three wide, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that make the most of the amazing sea and coastal views. Beautiful furnishings, sink-in sofas and a large dining table make the reception areas both welcoming and comfortable, while the fully equipped kitchen has been conceived so as to allow cooks to enjoy the wonderful sea views while chopping and stirring! At either end of the central part of the villa are the two sleeping areas, each organised over two floors.

To one end, accessed from the living area, is a large double bedroom with a mezzanine level with twin beds (suitable for children) and an en-suite shower room. A flight of stairs leads downstairs to one double-twin bedroom and one double bedroom, both of which have en-suite shower rooms.

To the other end, accessed from the gorgeous dining area, a few steps lead up to a double-twin bedroom with ensuite shower room, and then, via a flight of stairs, to the main double, complete with en-suite bathroom with tub and shower attachment, and a superb panoramic terrace overlooking the pool and the sea. The other bedrooms also have direct access to terraces and all have fantastic sea views.

Outside

with 400m of private coastline and around 10 acres of gardens, terraces and al fresco areas to explore, not to mention the transfixing views of the sea and the neighbouring island of Lefkada, a stay at Akrothea comes with total privacy, peace and quiet, and plenty of space for everyone.

Immediately outside the indoor living room is a covered and fully furnished lounge area offering shady coolness and superb views over the sea. A few steps lead down to the infinity pool suspended above the sea down below. To one side of the house, meanwhile, is a well-equipped outdoor kitchen and dining area, served by with a large gas barbecue.

Exploring the colourful gardens one soon comes across the steps whose destination is Akrothea's private sea access and the turquoise waters beyond...

As this villa is located on an island, we recommend extra caution when booking your flights to avoid problems or delays with ferries and hydrofoils. It may be advisable to arrive a day earlier and depart a day later. Please contact us for any information or advice.

Akrothea features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.

Due to the nature of the property, which includes terraces, low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

Parts of the route to this property are unpaved and a little rough. We therefore recommend guests hire a 4x4 or at least a car with high ground clearance.

The sea access in front of this property is via rocks and so may not be possible to use if the sea is rough.

Please note that there is no real shallow end in the pool, whose minimum depth is over 1.3m.

Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
