NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.

Accommodation at Ersi is spread over three houses, which, for ease of reference, we will call by the different colours of their shutters: Sky Blue, Olive Green and Lavender. Although each house has its own living and dining areas, inside and out, they are designed to be enjoyed with the doors left open so that all guests can come and go as they please.

Inside Sky Blue

accommodation is spread over two floors. The main entrance leads in to a voluminous, airy and warmly welcoming living room with lofty wood-beamed ceilings, sink-in sofas and easy chairs gathered around an impressive fireplace, and a series of doors opening out onto the surrounding terraces.

To the far end of the living area, an arched opening allows the space to flow into the roomy, well-equipped country-style kitchen, which has a dining table, a laege central island, a fireplace-grill, feature stone walls and direct access to the surrounding terraces.

Next to the kitchen is the first bedroom, a double-twin with en-suite shower room and French doors opening out onto the surrounding terraces.

Lastly, a (quite steep) staircase in the living room leads up through a trap-door to a generously proportioned sea-view suite under the eaves. Featuring a double bed, a living area, skylights, an en-suite shower room, and access to a large sea-view terrace (also accessed via steps from the gardens), this is a truly romantic hideaway.

Inside Olive Green

accommodation is laid out over two floors. The main entrance leads into a comfortably furnished open-plan living area, with a sofa and a couple of armchairs, a panoramic picture window and a dining table.

A door to one side of this space leads into an extremely spacious double bedroom, with wood-beamed ceilings, access to the terraces and gardens, and an en-suite bathroom with tub and rainfall shower.

Stairs lead from the living area up to the first floor, where there is another romantic double with a four-poster bed, lofty, wood-beamed ceilings, a panoramic, sea-view terrace, and an en-suite shower room.

Inside Lavender

the smallest of the three houses, and yet the social hub of the whole property for reasons that we will come to, Lavender is home to a double-twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and terrace access, and the independently accessed staff's quarters.

Outside

the grounds of Ersi offer numerous opportunities for carefree and tranquil al fresco living. Paths, steps and lawns link the three houses, and the mature gardens that run around and between them are planted with numerous varieties of fragrant flowers, plants and shade-giving trees.

At the heart of the property sits the delightful zero-edge pool, which is surrounded by paving and a colourful riot of flora.

Sky Blue has a shady pergola furnished for lounging and dining, a sun-kissed sea-view terrace with cushioned in-built seating and a fabulously panoramic terrace accessed from the first floor bedroom. Olive Green also has its own shaded sea-view areas for enjoying a quiet breakfast, relaxing with a book or taking an afternoon snooze.

The main al fresco communal area is found outside Lavender. Here there is an extensive covered sweep of terrace, furnished with capacious cushioned rattan sofas, easy chairs and a large dining table, and equipped with a well-equipped outdoor kitchen with an impressive barbecue grill. This space is where everyone can gather together to catch up, cook up feasts, enjoy long lazy lunches and dine late into the night.

Any younger children in your group will love exploring the grounds, not least when they come across the little playhouse and swing.

One final feature of Ersi's grounds is the organic vegetable garden, which provide guests with wonderfully tasty 0km ingredients.

Please note that the double bedroom under the eaves in the Sky Blue house is accessed via quite a steep staircase and has sloping ceilings.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

The number of steps that must be negotiated to get into and/or around this property might make it unsuitable for people with mobility problems.

Please note that there is no real shallow end in the pool, whose minimum depth is 1.3m.

Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
