Beaches on Aegina
Our Hand-Picked Guide to the Best Beaches on Aegina
Whilst there are fewer beaches on Aegina than most other top Greek island destinations, their quality makes up for their lack of quantity. Most are equipped with classic beach facilities as well as delicious bars or restaurants, but a few also offer up pure seclusion.
Aeginitissa Beach
Where: On the western coast of Aegina
Description: Shrouded with beautiful looming trees, this well-organised sandy beach is complete with sunbeds, a beach bar and music playing throughout the day. The shallow waters make it children-friendly and the facilities offer ultimate comfort and relaxation!.
Klidi/Klima Beach
Where: On the southern side of the island
Description: Exceptionally beautiful and therefore exceptionally popular in the high season, this organised beach has stylish sunbeds and umbrellas as well as a bar on its sandy shores. The turquoise waters, which are often dotted with yachts on the horizon, are always begging to be plunged into!
Marathonas A and B
Where: In the west of Aegina
Description: Marathonas A and B are two adjacent beaches both sandy, picturesque and family-friendly. Marathonas B is slightly larger and therefore less crowded but both beaches offer idyllic settings and soothing shallow waters.
Moni Beach Bar
Where: On a little island off the southwestern coast of Aegina
Description: Hop over to the idyllic Moni beach complete with a shaded bar, deckchairs and even some local wildlife (such as peacocks and deer!) which are the island’s only inhabitants. Translucent waters and a laidback atmosphere complete the magical and vibrant Moni.
