Reduced Occupancy

During the shoulder seasons, Sintineddu has a reduced price for groups of up to 6 that only need up to 3 bedrooms. The bedrooms not required will be closed, but the rest of the villa, its amenities and its grounds will remain at the complete disposal of guests. Should you book the reduced occupancy rate, the best bedrooms will be prepared for you.

Inside

accommodation at Sintineddu is arranged over two floors, with three of the bedrooms on the ground floor accessed externally from the terraces.

At the centre of the ground floor is a spacious, light-filled living area with two 7m-long walls of fully extendable sliding glass doors. One opens out onto the sea-view terraces, gardens and pool, while the other provides access to a secluded, leaf-cocooned al fresco communal area.

The property's aesthetic appeal and contemporary allure is on full show in the living area: cool sandy flooring (which runs throughout the property and even out onto the terraces) is complemented by pristine white walls and ceilings; a finely tuned scattering of designer easy chairs is interspersed with coffee tables; and at one end, an in-built fireplace provides a focal point. In terms of fixtures, fittings and furnishings, everything is of the highest quality, and the owner’s passion for art is evident, with paintings and sculptures by Alonso, Hartung, Hofkunst and Anton embellishing the walls and defining the spaces around them.

To one end, the living room flows into the beautiful bespoke kitchen, which comes with double-aspect views and access to both terraces. Walls of creamy, floor-to-ceiling creamy cabinetry and top-quality appliances run along two sides, while in the centre is a long dining table.

A guest WC is accessed from the kitchen.

Back in the living room, to the left of the fireplace, a door leads into the first bedroom, a sea-view double with garden access and a centrally positioned bed. A semi-partition wall, which acts as a headboard, divides the sleeping area from the open bathroom, which includes a sink, a walk-in shower and a separate WC.

The second bedroom, which is accessed externally from the sea-view terraces, is another en-suite double. In terms of layout, it is identical to the first.

The remaining two bedrooms on the ground floor are accessed from the covered rear terraces. Both are doubles with garden views, en-suite shower rooms and separate WCs.

The fifth and final bedroom is found on the first floor, accessed via a staircase to the right of the living room's fireplace. The principal bedroom, this light-filled, spacious double offers glorious sea views through its wall of windows and has a luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower, raised sea-view tub, and a separate WC.

Outside

Sintineddu's white forms rise amidst a canopy of greenery and flowering plants that wraps around the property to create a serene, secluded atmosphere of well-being. Al fresco life is mainly lived out on two sides of the house, each of which has its own distinct charms and features.

To the front of the property, accessed via one of the fully extendable walls of sliding glass doors in the living room (and also from two of the ground floor bedrooms and from the kitchen), is an expanse of creamy stoned, sea-view terrace furnished with a dining table and framed by white geometrical structures that extend organically from the main body of the house.

A few wide, shallow steps below is a second area of terrace furnished with sun loungers and flanked by verdant lawns and bushy plants. From here, a short path leads past another area of lawn to the beguiling cobalt infinity pool.

The second wall of fully extendable sliding glass doors in the living area opens out onto a partly walled terrace that is the hidden heart of the home. Wrapping round a pristine lawn, shaded by the over-hanging roof of the house, and secluded by mature Mediterranean pines and other greenery, this "secret" garden hosts a beautifully furnished lounge area and a large dining table (served directly by the kitchen) with views through the living room and out to sea. The two garden bedrooms on the ground floor are accessed from here.

The third piece of the al fresco jigsaw at Sintineddu is the first-floor roof terrace, which may be accessed directly from the principal bedroom or via an elegant flight of external steps leading up from the front terrace. Here the magical 360-degree views take in the sea, the maquis-carpeted coastline, and, further in the distance, the foothills of Corsica's mountainous hinterland. It is a particularly lovely spot to spend time in in the late afternoon, when the sun begins its fiery descent into the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

During the high season, especially at weekends, you may occasionally hear planes arriving at the nearby Figari airport.
