Villa Talamo's grand interiors are infused with a soft light and an atmosphere of calm tranquillity. 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms mean that everyone has their own space, while the reception rooms, which include a double-sized, sociable living room, a generous sitting room, and a grand dining room, allow your whole group to come together as one.

Notwithstanding its gorgeous interiors, Villa Talamo really comes into its own outside. Terraces, gardens and parkland wrap around the house creating a fragrant oasis of seclusion and privacy. The 10-acre estate is busy with aromatic pines, towering palms and gently fluttering olive trees. Areas of manicured lawn bordered by whispering ornamental grasses, aromatic plants and floral display create a haven of colour and well-being. Wide-open, sun-mottled terraces provide the perfect backdrop for a series of al fresco dining and lounge areas, all looking out to sea.

Then there's the fabulous pool area, which is served by a sociable bar - the perfect spot for catching up after a day exploring, aperitivi as the sun sets over the Bay of Talamone, and post-prandial drinks under the stars.

"Villa Talamo was gorgeous and extremely well laid-out for our 20 guests. We loved having the large pool atop the hill looking out over the sea. There are wonderful grounds in which to meander, while for children there is a great on-site playground. The chef deserves accolades - all the food was delicious. The house manager greeted us on our arrival, and since it was our country’s 250th birthday, ordered a specially decorated cake for us."

Dining at Villa Talamo is always an event. The in-villa chef, along with his sous chef, prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner each day.

Everything is prepared fresh, from the bread (using a 125-year-old sourdough starter) to the cakes and everything in between.

Ingredients are sourced daily from the villa's own organic herb and vegetable garden and from tried-and-trusted local suppliers.

The speciality of the house is traditional Tuscan cuisine, though the vastly experienced chef is quite happy to take requests, especially for celebratory gala dinners.

In the words of one of our recent guests, "All the food was prepared fresh and each dish was uniquely delicious. One night we devoured barbequed beef, chicken and pork; another grilled scampi and langoustine; then there was the freshly made gnocchi pasta... Every day the chef made our dinner an experience. It would be worth travelling to Villa Talamo just to enjoy another of his creations."

Meals can be served in the grand dining room inside, under the shady pine trees on the terrace overlooking the sea, or in a sheltered walled courtyard to one side of the house. Whichever you choose, you'll be treated to a beautifully prepared table, inspiring dishes, and first-class service.

Apart from the in-villa chef, Villa Talamo has a full, dedicated team of staff. They work discreetly each day to ensure that the property is in immaculate condition and fully functioning.

With many years of experience between them, they provide an exceedingly high level of service that is both efficient and friendly.

"Every evening [at Villa Talamo], an artfully arranged tablescape appears as if by magic on the gargantuan table some way from the house underneath a canopy of pines, palms, cypresses and wild olive trees. Over the years, guests at Villa Talamo have celebrated all manner of events, from milestone birthdays and special anniversaries to boutique weddings.

The staff and the kitchen team can always be relied upon to ensure that any event you're celebrating is seamless, memorable and out of the ordinary.

The chef has cooked for many such special occasions and will be happy to create a bespoke menu for you (depending on the availability of ingredients), while the owner and our local team have all the right connections to enrich your celebration with extra services.

Some favourites include live music provided by a renowned local singer, mixologists for cocktail evenings (and classes, should you wish to perfect your skills), and spectacular cakes created to your specifications by a local pâtissier.
