At Casetta Firenze, one is embraced by the calm, tranquil atmosphere. This sensation of well-being that pervades the whole property is in large part due to the owners’ choice of a soft, natural palette, whose ochres, flaxen yellows and earthy hues hint at the colours of the surrounding landscape. Buttery rays of sun and terracotta floors effuse mellowness, white-washed, wood-beamed ceilings add lightness, and contemporary artworks bring vivacity. Other touches include perfectly positioned classic Tuscan country furniture and integrated lighting that washes each space with exactly the right illumination at all times of day.

The main entrance leads into a luminous reception room with a table and chairs, a coffee bar, drinks fridge, and a series of large, curvaceous windows and glass doors connecting with the terraces and bringing in the far-reaching countryside views. A door to one side allows the space to flow into an inviting dining room with a centrally positioned wooden oval table and an impressive fireplace. From here, a door leads in to the living room, which is furnished with two stylish sofas and a pair of mid-century-modern occasional chairs gathered around a wooden coffee table.

Next is the well-equipped kitchen, the realm of your in-villa chef and the staff.

The first floor, accessed via a flight of stairs in the dining room, is home to four bedrooms:

• the principal bedroom, a romantic double with easy chairs, countryside views and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a capacious, free-standing tub and a separate shower
• a luminous double-twin with en-suite bathroom with tub and shower attachment
• a double-twin bedroom with an adjacent shower room
• a double with a bed in an alcove, a reading snug, and an en-suite shower room

Accommodation at Casetta Firenze is completed by a treatment room on the ground floor of the main house accessed both internally and externally and a guest bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower room accessed from the terraces.

Outside

sitting at the centre of an olive farm (the owners produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil and grow a variety of fruit and vegetables), Casetta Firenze offers a magical array of al fresco options for guests.

An impressive, cypress-tree-lined driveway leads up to the house, which sits amidst a generous fan of terraces. Furnished with a series of sitting and dining areas and perfumed by flowering plants, this space offers a fine vantage point from which to take in the far-reaching views over the olive groves, the surrounding woodland, and a seemingly endless landscape of rolling Tuscan hills.

Delimiting the terraces and wrapping around the house, is a huge swathe of manicured lawn dotted with the occasional tree, a good variety of furnished areas for chatting or gazing out at the views, a firepit, and a yoga deck. One particularly dreamy spot is the al fresco dining area, which is served by a pizza oven and workstation. This is a magical place for sociable evenings under the stars.

Down a slope below the dining area is the irresistible, 15m-long pool, which is encircled by verdant lawns and flanked by sun loungers and shade-giving structures: it is hard to pull yourself away from here once comfortably installed.

As a final, gastronomic note, we should not forget the organic kitchen and herb garden, which produces many of the ingredients used by the in-villa chef.

Casetta Firenze is a fully serviced villa, whose team of housekeepers (normally between 8.30 and 13.30), house manager, cook and waiter will be on hand throughout your stay to ensure that you never have to lift a finger.

Dining at Casetta Firenze
The villa's cook prepares delicious expressions of Tuscan cuisine using the freshest, locally produced ingredients, many of which are grown right there on the estate.

Breakfast
A daily continental breakfast is included, and features ingredients such as fresh bread, homemade pastries, yogurt, muesli, cereal, fruit juices, fresh milk, butter, ham or other cold cuts, cheese, seasonal prepared fruit, a selection of teas, coffee and jams. The breakfast staff will also set the table and clean up after you’ve finished.

Lunch
A light lunch, served daily, includes salads, pasta (cold or hot), fruit, three bottles of house wine, and water.

Dinner
A three-course dinner will be served every evening. This typically comprises three antipasti, a pasta dish, mixed salad and dessert, or two antipasti, an entrée with side dish, salad and desert. Three bottles of house wine and water are included. As an alternative, you may request a pizza night (available from Monday to Thursday).

Exclusions
Soft drinks, spirits, other drinks, wine (above the quantities stated above), coffee and tea outside breakfast time, and snacks are not included.

Please note that because Casetta Firenze is a fully serviced villa, the kitchen, the barbecue and the pizza oven are for the exclusive use of the villa's staff. For coffees, teas and drinks, guests may use the facilities provided in the first reception room.

The discreet and helpful owners live in the property with a private entrance; this area is not accessible to clients. The owner will not disturb in any way, unless of course you need local advice.
