Ortensia is a large, spacious and bright villa with stunning views of the coastline and sea. Fabulous tropical pool area with beautiful flowers and fruit on the trees. Large bedrooms all with en-suites and fab interior design.

What stood out about Ortensia? Everything. The views, the facilities - it wanted for nothing. And it was great that it was four equal bedrooms, so no fighting over rooms. The pool was gorgeous. It was the height of luxury but with a lovely family vibe. From initial booking to final departure we received a personalised service with the added bonus of local support when on our holiday which was invaluable. An outstanding villa with an outstanding service makes for a perfect holiday.

The views from every corner of Ortensia were amazing. We enjoyed the roof for cocktails and the pool in the afternoons. The cook was excellent and we had many wonderful meals. The house was full of light, each bedroom good sized and comfortable and the grounds were quite nice. I would definitely recommend The Thinking Traveller and Ortensia - an excellent experience all round!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful week at Ortensia. We loved the grounds, the pool and the landscaping, the views over Taormina, the Ionian Sea, and Mount Etna, the beautiful surroundings, and the on-site support for cooking and cleaning. It felt like a true vacation.
