The Area
Casa Luza is set in rolling hills near the fascinating baroque town of Noto and the beautiful nature reserve of Vendicari.
Noto is arguably the most perfect of a string of sublime baroque towns (including Modica, Ragusa and Scicli) that constitute the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Val di Noto. Rebuilt in flamboyant style following a major earthquake in 1693, they are masterpieces of flair, style and town planning.
Vendicari Nature Reserve, meanwhile, boasts some of the finest sandy beaches in Sicily and is also home to migrating flamingos, sea turtles and a host of other wildlife.
If hiking in the hills is your thing, then there is some spectacular scenery in the rushing streams and waterfalls of Cassibile and at the Paleolithic burial sites in the dramatic valley of , Pantalica.
Syracuse is just half an hour's drive away, and a day there is highly recommended to anybody spending a week or two at Casa Luza.

Tout nous a plu a Casa Luza. Tres belle demeure. Grande amabilite de Lucilla et Fredo et tres bon service. Les cuisinieres Renee et Deborah ont ete exceptionnelles grande efficacite repas delicieux grande gentillesse et beaucoup de patiente pour nous enseigner les plats siciliens. C'est un service cinq etoiles et je recommande la societe de Renee the soul of Sicily.

We had a perfect and memorable family vacation at Casa Luza! It was luxurious, comfortable and a delight on every level. It was beautifully appointed, comfortable (especially the beds!), and a wonderful space to spend as a family but also privacy when you need it. The pool was lovely and it was great to have a gym too. And the staff are amazing, making us feel totally at home and pampered! The Thinking Traveller helped us find the ideal villa, plan our trip (patiently answering all our questions) and supported us throughout. We can't wait to book another trip! Comfortable with great amenities (pool, gym, etc). And the staff, Simona & Carmello, are AMAZING, making us feel totally at home & pampered!
