What stood out for us about Palazzo Ducale Guarini was the character and history of the villa. And of course the garden was magnificent. We had such a wonderful experience at Palazzo Ducale Guarini! All the support in setting up reservations in advance and then making sure everything was ready that week was so incredible. We loved all the gathering spaces - the table outside for dinners with the chef was magical. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip! The villa, the experiences, all booked through one place made my job as the family trip planner much easier.

The Area
One of the great attractions of Palazzo Ducale Guarini is its location in the centre of the town of Scorrano, which has a charming square, a market, an osteria/restaurant and assorted bars and shops. Scorrano itself is in an excellent position for exploring all that Salento has to offer. It's just twenty minutes drive from the fortress city of Otranto on the Adriatic coast, and half an hour from "the capital of Baroque" that is Lecce. The neighbouring town of Maglie, just 3km up the road, is a jewel of Baroque in itself, and famous locally for its evening passeggiata and all the fashionable activity that goes with that. The Ionian cost is not far either, with the stunning town of Gallipoli just 40 minutes drive away.
