Frequently Asked Questions

Why Visit Zakynthos?

Few islands make such an immediate impression as Zakynthos. Along its coastline, towering cliffs plunge into luminous Ionian waters, sea caves shimmer beneath the midday sun, and quiet villages hum with a rhythm that has remained steady over generations. Wildlife thrives here too, with loggerhead turtles returning to the island's shores each year, while family-run tavernas and traditional festivals offer a glimpse into everyday Zakynthian life. Our luxury Zakynthos villas are ideal for those seeking a holiday shaped equally by natural drama, local character and unforgettable days by the sea.

Where Should You Stay in Zakynthos?

Our beguilling Zakynthos villas are concentrated in the north of the island, around the villages of Volimes and the north-west coast, placing you within reach of the Blue Caves, Navagio beach and the island's wilder, more unspoiled landscapes. A handful of properties sit further south, around Agalas and the south-west tip, for those seeking a more secluded villa experience. Zakynthos Town, with its Venetian harbour character and Byzantine museum, is accessible from most parts of the island by car. A Villa Specialist can help identify the best villas in Zakynthos to suit your dream stay.

What Is There to Do in Zakynthos?

Life on Zakynthos revolves around the sea, but that's only part of the story. Set out by boat to explore the island's spectacular coastline, watch the changing colours dance across the water inside the Blue Caves, or seek out secluded swimming spots tucked beneath soaring cliffs. Inland, traditional villages, hillside monasteries and olive-covered landscapes reveal a slower side to the island, while guided wildlife excursions offer the chance to observe loggerhead turtles in their natural habitat. How to Get to Zakynthos

You can get to Zakynthos from Zakynthos Dionysios Solomos Airport (ZTH), which has direct flights from London and European cities throughout summer. Domestic connections from Athens are available year-round. From the airport, most villas in the north of the island are between 30 and 60 minutes by car. Ferry services also run from Kyllini on the Peloponnese mainland, taking around an hour, for those arriving by road through Greece. Car hire is recommended for getting around the island's varied coastal and inland terrain, which our experienced team can organise for your arrival.

From our local specialist

Tree Doorway

"I’m very proud of my island’s long wine-making traditions so I’d recommend a winery tour with a driver. After tasting the wines of the Goumas family, you can move on to the Ambelostrates vineyard for a second tasting and a delicious meze lunch."
