Reduced Occupancy

During the shoulder seasons, Ble Kyma has a reduced price for a group of up to 8 that only need up to 4 bedrooms. The bedrooms not required will be closed, but the rest of the villa, its amenities and its grounds will remain at the complete disposal of guests. Should you book the reduced occupancy rate, the main house bedrooms will be prepared for you

Inside

accommodation at Ble Kyma is organised over three floors.

Stepping stones across a rectangular water feature lead to an impressive front door, which opens into a welcoming corridor with a large picture window that frames a heart-stopping view out across the sea to Kefalonia.

Turning left, and passing a guest WC, the corridor leads to the bright, luminous kitchen-diner, where the design aesthetics of the whole property are on full show. Everything is ultra-modern, minimalist and meticulously ordered. White walls, ceilings and cabinetry are balanced by smooth grey floors in rectangles of poured and polished concrete, and a wooden dining table extends organically from a central island.

Key to this apparent simplicity of palette are two features: the integrated polychromatic lighting that brings the house to life as dusk falls; and the blue sea views, which, via walls of glass and sliding glass doors flood inside, adding all the colour one could desire. Access to the surrounding terraces is seamless and the atmosphere is one of Zen-like tranquillity.

Turning left from the main entrance along the corridor, one comes to the living area, which features a white L-shaped sofa, a designer egg chair and, via more of those glass walls and sliding glass door, fabulous views across the pool and the sea to Kefalonia.

The corridor continues to the ground floor bedrooms, two good-sized doubles with sea views, access to the sea-facing terraces and en-suite shower rooms.

From the corridor outside these two bedrooms, stairs lead up and down to the first and lower ground floors.

The former is entirely given over to the principal bedroom, a splendidly luminous double with more of those fabulous sea views, an en-suite bathroom with tub and walk-in shower, and access to a panoramic roof terrace.

On the lower ground floor meanwhile are two bedrooms:

• a double-twin with en-suite shower room
• a quadruple bedroom with a double bed, a bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower and tub. Please note that this bedroom is accessed externally via some steps at the side of the house.

Outside

al fresco life at Ble Kyma revolves around the wide-open, multi-dimensional sea-facing terrace, accessed from the kitchen-diner, the living area and the two ground floor bedrooms. Designed with great care and attention to detail, it offers numerous opportunities for fun, relaxation and convivial moments.

From a secluded space between the kitchen-diner and the living area, steps lead down to the magnificent 17m-long pool, which, echoing the flooring inside, is surrounded by large rectangular slabs of smooth poured concrete. Quality sunloungers lie strategically placed to make the most of the sublime views across the sparkling sea to Kefalonia.

To the left of the pool is a voluminous L-shaped sitting area and a well-sheltered, fully equipped al fresco kitchen serving a dining area with barbecue. Beyond this is the large panoramic hot tub, the perfect spot for a sun-kissed soak or a romantic aperitif as the sun sets across the sea.

To the right of the pool, meanwhile, is a bar area, shaded by sails, and a shower room and WC. Next to this is a white container with full-length sliding glass doors looking out to sea, bunk beds and a sitting area with TV, and an adjacent shower room.

Those lucky enough to be occupying the principal bedroom have their own private roof-top terrace, from where the views are at their best.

Paths fan out around the extensive grounds, leading to a pair of olive-shaded belvederes above the sea, one with a hammock, one with a daybed.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

Please note that there is no real shallow end in the pool, whose minimum depth is over 1.3m.

You may have noticed that although Ble Kyma can technically accommodate up to 14 people, we limit the number of guests to 12.

The last kilometre of the access road to Ble Kyma is unpaved.

The sea access in front of this property is via rocks and so may not be possible to use if the sea is rough. We urge caution at all times. Please also note that the water at the sea access is immediately deep and therefore not ideal for less confident swimmers.

Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
