The house of summery delights
Arrival at Villa Donna Maria is akin to entering a secluded world of your own. Enveloped by three acres of landscaped grounds, and offering tantalising views out to sea, it offers everything you could possible wish for: an irresistible 15.5m-long infinity pool; extensive sun-kissed and shady terraces; spacious, contemporary interiors; a wellness area with gym, sauna and treatment room; a tennis and basketball court; and charming gardens to stroll around. Once arrived, it's unlikely you'll ever wish to leave, except, maybe to stroll down to the beach.

Villa Donna Maria sits above the coast just to the south of the charming harbour town of Ermioni, whose tavernas, cafés, bars and shops are just a 10-minute drive away.
The town of Porto Heli is an upmarket resort whose promenade of seafront bars and restaurants and boutiques is just over 20 minutes' away. For many years, the surrounding area, also known as the Greek Riviera, has been second home to the Athenian aristocracy and shipping magnates, who built sumptuous summer estates there. Today, it attracts the international jet set, from royalty to business tycoons, who come for the sophisticated atmosphere and the sense of hush-hush privacy.
The Porto Heli peninsula is lined with gorgeous beaches and lapped by sparkling blue seas. Two beaches, Mpoluloto and Kouverta, are walkable (about 10 minutes, or a 2-minute drive), and there are several others nearby, including the long arc of sand at Petrothalassa.
There are plenty of opportunities for water sports, yachting and island-hopping, and the cosmopolitan islands of Spetses and Hydra within easy day-trip distance (hydrofoil crossings to Spetses from the port of Kosta take just 10 minutes).
For history lovers, one must-see is the archaeological site of Epidaurus. Its stunning theatre is famed not only for its size and its sensational views, but also for its crystal clear acoustics, and there is much more to see besides.

The possibilities for exploring by sea in the area around Porto Heli and Spetses are seemingly endless. The bay of Porto Heli itself offers calm and tranquil waters which are perfect for a leisurely cruise, while the archaeological sites of Epidavros and Napflio are also eminently reachable. That's not to mention the Saronic islands, the castle of Monenvasia, Milos... no holiday is complete without at least one day out on the water!
