A dive into the sea
A delicious dilemma awaits guests staying at Panorea: should you spend more time swimming in the panoramic pool… or in the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea, accessed via a private path from the grounds. Fortunately, there are plenty of comfy spots both inside and out where you can consider this problem at your leisure!

This was our second year staying at Panorea. We can’t fault it! Our experience was amazing. We LOVE The Thinking Traveller… other companies DO NOT compare!

Panorea is a fabulous villa. Beautiful island and great service from everyone. What stood out was the location, the layout, the comfort and the well equipped kitchen.

Panorea is in an unbelievably relaxing location with stunning views. We love the villa and the sea access and the fact that shoes and snorkels and masks are available to use for guests. Really nice products left for use in showers and soap at the sinks.

Panorea is situated on the southeast coast of Meganissi, just a few minutes' drive from Limonari beach and the little village of Katomeri, and about 10 minutes' drive from Spartochori and Vathi, this latter home to a picturesque harbour, tavernas, shops and boats to Lefkada island.
Meganissi covers just 20 square kilometres but has plenty to offer, with numerous bays and beaches to explore, sleepy white-washed villages, such as Katomeri or Spartochori, to wander around and lots of good walking paths in the centre of the island.
The two main harbours of Vathi and Spilia are great spots for dining on fish, whiling away an hour or two with a drink in hand or setting out on one of the frequent ferries to visit other islands in the Ionian archipelago.

The north of Meganissi is home to a seemingly endless array of dreamy bays with transparent blue waters, golden beaches, and emerald pinewoods. The best way to explore them is by boat, and you have two options: either rent your own with the help of our Local Concierges (they know all the best people); or let our experienced Specialists arrange a day or two on board one of our skippered charters. The sense of freedom you experience from cruising around, dropping anchor, and diving into the irresistible sea is like nothing else.

A holiday in the sun would not be complete without exploring the breath-taking coastline, majestic cliffs and glistening azure sea that your destination has to offer. The best way to experience this spectacle is from your very own rental boat, pottering along at a leisurely pace and occasionally stopping off to drop anchor and swim in secluded bays.
