About the property
Inside
the main entrance leads into an open-concept and well-furnished kitchen-diner and living area, with access to the main outside terrace and pool area. Also on the ground floor are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with en-suite shower rooms and direct access to a slightly raised and fenced terrace overlooking the pool area.Stairs lead from near the kitchen to the first floor, where there is another double bedroom with en-suite shower room, opening onto two private panoramic terraces that look down over the pool and the sea beyond.
Outside
the focal point of Melina is undoubtedly the superb panoramic infinity pool, which is surrounded by good-sized sunbathing terrace and a shaded area that is ideal for al fresco lounging and dining with sea views. If, after staring at the sea for a while, you wish to go for a swim in it, a 5-minute walk down through the garden and along a quiet little road will get you there!EOT Licence No. 0831K10TK7989001
About the Area
Melina is situated above a secluded bay on the north coast of Meganissi, just a 10-minute walk from the seafront tavernas, shops and harbour of Vathi. This superb position may mean you will not wander too far from your comfortable surroundings, but should you wish to, Meganissi and its neighbouring island, Lefkada, are eminently visit-able in a week.
Meganissi covers just 20 square kilometres but has plenty to offer, with numerous bays and beaches to explore, sleepy white-washed villages, such as Katomeri or Spartochori, to wander around and lots of good walking paths in the centre of the island.
The two main harbours of Vathi and Spilia are great spots for dining on fish, whiling away an hour or two with a drink in hand or setting out on one of the frequent ferries to visit other islands in the Ionian archipelago.
Considerations
Melina features an infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop over the infinity edge so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general health and safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.
Please note that there is no real shallow end in the pool, whose minimum depth is over 1.3m.
Due to the nature of the property's gardens, including low walls and drops, children must be supervised at all times.
Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
