Melina is an amazing villa on a beautiful island. The Thinking Traveller experience with the Local Specialist was excellent and made for a great holiday, it was great having someone nearby who was so helpful and knowledgeable about the island. We had the most wonderful holiday at Melina. The villa was immaculate, the view incredible - everything surpassed our expectations. We thought the service from The Thinking Traveller was just excellent, better than any other agent we have used to date. Keep doing what you're doing! Oh and forgot to mention the generously stocked cupboard/fridge in arrival was hugely appreciated.

Melina is a gorgeous villa with the most gorgeous view across the bay! We loved our stay. Meganissi is a wonderful island with the traditional village of Vathy just a 10-minute walk away. The Thinking Traveller arranged the hire of a boat for us which was perfect to visit the surrounding islands and bays. A top-5 family holiday!

The Area
Melina is situated above a secluded bay on the north coast of Meganissi, just a 10-minute walk from the seafront tavernas, shops and harbour of Vathi. This superb position may mean you will not wander too far from your comfortable surroundings, but should you wish to, Meganissi and its neighbouring island, Lefkada, are eminently visit-able in a week.
Meganissi covers just 20 square kilometres but has plenty to offer, with numerous bays and beaches to explore, sleepy white-washed villages, such as Katomeri or Spartochori, to wander around and lots of good walking paths in the centre of the island.
The two main harbours of Vathi and Spilia are great spots for dining on fish, whiling away an hour or two with a drink in hand or setting out on one of the frequent ferries to visit other islands in the Ionian archipelago.
