luminous, clean-lined, and characterful, the interiors of La Sirena have been finished to an extremely high level and designed to make the very most of its fabulous location and its tantalising views out to sea.

The hub of the home is a spacious, open-concept social area, where the aesthetics of the property are on full show: a feature wall in ivory-hued stone runs behind a sleek contemporary kitchen with smooth grey and honeyed, holm oak cabinetry; a curvaceous wooden island morphs into a panoramic dining table; and a stylish, many-cushioned modern sofa gazes out to sea via a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows; and a glass door near the kitchen opens out onto a large shady terrace.

The feature stone wall of the kitchen extends into a corridor with high windows, off which is a guest WC and the two bedrooms of the main house, both doubles with sea views, walls of glass, terrace access, and en-suite shower rooms with flooring of smooth, in-laid pebbles.

In between the two bedrooms, meanwhile, is a luminous study, also with sea views and terrace access.

Completing the accommodation at La Sirena is the guest room, which is accessed from a recessed area of the main terrace. Another double, it comes with an en-suite shower room, stone-clad walls and more of those mesmerising sea views.

Outside

set in a extensive coastal grounds that have mostly been left in their natural state, La Sirena has an abundance of attractions when it comes to al fresco living.

Running along entire façade of the house is a long, stone-flagged terrace that gazes out across the sparkling aquamarine waters of the Ionian Sea to the southern tip of Meganissi and the neighbouring island of Kalamos.

Sitting in pride of place is the lovely infinity pool, which is flanked by rows of sun loungers.

Set back from the pool area, and shaded by an extension of the roof, is a large sociable area with a pair of sofas, a large dining table with in-built seating and chairs, and an extremely well-equipped al fresco kitchen and bar.

A short walk over the ridge of the headland (all of which is yours) will take you to the magical sea path, which winds down to the shoreline, where there is a jetty, an idyllic little beach, and the sparkling sea.

The final section of the access road to La Sirena is a little rough, so we recommend guests hire a 4x4 or one with high ground clearance.

The Topper sail boats are only available for use by children with sailing experience, and the boats should not be taken out of the the immediate bay (Elia Bay). Please also note that on the east coast of Meganissi the wind can pick up quickly.

Life vests must be worn when using the Toppers and the SUPs.

La Sirena sits in extensive grounds, some of which is unfenced and may include drops or steep slopes. We therefore recommend that younger children are always supervised by an adult when exploring their surroundings.

La Sirena features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side and a single depth of 1.7m, so we recommend children are supervised at all times when using the pool. Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
