From olive groves to private jetty
Hippokampoi is set in 2.5 acres of olive groves directly above a quiet, picturesque bay in the north of Meganissi. Spectacular views take in the islands of Lefkada and Skorpios and the mountains of the mainland across the water. The villa's combination of clean modern lines, traditional stonework, abundance of outdoor space, infinity pool, direct sea access and close proximity to beaches, shops and tavernas, all make for an extremely relaxing holiday experience.

We love Hippokampoi and its location. The layout suits our group and we like being able to walk into Vathy as well as enjoying swimming and walking directly from the house. This was our third visit. The views from the villa are wonderful. In summary: amazing location, great villa and wonderful island.

Hippokampoi is located in an enviable position above, and with easy access on foot to, a secluded bay on the north coast of Meganissi. A 5-minute drive will get you to the seafront tavernas, shops and harbour of Vathi. Meganissi and its neighbouring island, Lefkada, are eminently visitable in a week.
Meganissi covers just 20 square kilometres but has plenty to offer, with numerous bays and beaches to explore, sleepy white-washed villages, such as Katomeri or Spartochori, to wander around and lots of good walking paths in the centre of the island.
The two main harbours of Vathi and Spilia are great spots for dining on fish, whiling away an hour or two with a drink in hand or setting out on one of the frequent ferries to visit other islands in the Ionian archipelago.

The north of Meganissi is home to a seemingly endless array of dreamy bays with transparent blue waters, golden beaches, and emerald pinewoods. The best way to explore them is by boat, and you have two options: either rent your own with the help of our Local Concierges (they know all the best people); or let our experienced Specialists arrange a day or two on board one of our skippered charters. The sense of freedom you experience from cruising around, dropping anchor, and diving into the irresistible sea is like nothing else.

A holiday in the sun would not be complete without exploring the breath-taking coastline, majestic cliffs and glistening azure sea that your destination has to offer. The best way to experience this spectacle is from your very own rental boat, pottering along at a leisurely pace and occasionally stopping off to drop anchor and swim in secluded bays.
