NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.

Inside

accommodation at Hippokampoi is spread over two floors.

A wide flight of steps leads up from the parking and pool area to the main entrance on the first floor. A corridor runs the length of the villa giving access to the large, stylishly furnished, bright and airy communal area.

To one end is the comfortable living area with sofas and a decorative, contemporary fireplace, while to the other, separated by a semi-partition wall, is the dining area. On three sides, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors bring in the superb sea views and provide access to a large, shady panoramic terrace that wraps around the house.

Across the corridor from the dining area is the fully-equipped modern kitchen, whose bright yellow hue brings the warmth of the sun inside.

A door between the dining area and kitchen allows the space to flow out onto a series of terraces to the side of the house.

The first floor is also home to a study and a shower room.

A sweeping staircase leads down to the cool ground floor, which is home to three bedrooms, all with sea views and access to the pool terrace:

• the master suite, a double with a separate dressing area and an en-suite bathroom with both tub and shower
• two double-twin bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. One also has a separate dressing area

Accommodation at Hippokampoi is completed by a fully-equipped laundry and utility room.

Outside

al fresco activities at Hippokampoi revolve around the delightful pool area, which is blessed with intoxicating views of the bay and coastline down below, and a superb infinity pool.

The grounds' 2.5 acres are planted with olive groves and, immediately around the house, a wide variety of Mediterranean flora.

A door near the kitchen opens out onto a large, superbly panoramic terrace with a shady pergola and a dining table. Up a few steps from here is a dedicated barbecue area.

The covered terrace running along the entire façade of the house on the first floor is accessed directly from the living and dining areas and provides the ideal shady spot for reading, gazing out to sea, sipping on a morning coffee or planning the day's activities.

Last, but certainly not least, a few minutes' walk down the driveway and across a little access road will get you to Hippokampoi's very own jetty and, 30m further on, to a small shingle beach. Guests who hire a boat may moor it at the jetty during their stay and explore the island's many quiet bays and seafront tavernas by water.

Hippokampoi features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.

You may also wish to know that the pool has a single depth of 1.6m although it does have wide steps for access.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

This villa has an underfloor cooling system rather than conventional air conditioning units.

Cats may be seen in the villa grounds. However, they will not enter the house unless encouraged to do so.

The bay below Hippokampoi can get quite busy with boats in July and August and those who moor there are sometimes audible in the villa's outdoor areas.

Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
