A modern hide in ancient groves
Immersed in the whispering olive groves of southeast Meganissi, and with commanding 180-degree views of the sparkling Ionian Sea, Galatea has been conceived to make the very most of its fabulous private setting and designed to set the pulses racing of those with a penchant for light-filled contemporary luxury.
A reduction of 10% has been applied to all remaining weeks at Galatea in 2025.
Galatea overlooks the southeast coast of Meganissi, just a few minutes' drive from Limonari beach and the little village of Katomeri, and about 5 minutes' drive from Spartochori and Vathi, this latter home to a picturesque harbour, tavernas, shops and boats to Lefkada island.
Meganissi covers just 20 square kilometres but has plenty to offer, with numerous bays and beaches to explore, sleepy white-washed villages, such as Katomeri or Spartochori, to wander around and lots of good walking paths in the centre of the island.
The two main harbours of Vathi and Spilia are great spots for dining on fish, whiling away an hour or two with a drink in hand or setting out on one of the frequent ferries to visit other islands in the Ionian archipelago.

Galatea is a beautiful villa in a dream location. It couldn’t have been better. What stood out was the location and the views from all parts of the house. The external areas and the pool are just stunning and the changing light is amazing - dawn, sunset, moonlight. And it's so peaceful. The house is also really well equipped with everything, down to the lovely toiletries, and was of a high standard. Would we return? Yes, this is the most beautiful property we have stayed in - and we have been lucky enough to stay in many amazing places. The situation is just breathtaking and so quiet. We haven’t yet gone back to the same place twice, even when we’ve loved the villa, but this could well be the exception!

Galatea was magnificent in every way, and the whole family felt at home from the moment we set foot in it. As well as magical, far-reaching, unspoilt views of the sea and distant islands, the house itself was thoughtfully arranged so as to maximise these views: everywhere one turned, there was a huge window or mirror, so that you felt immersed in the view itself. Even some of the showers inside had open views of the sea. The villa was clearly loved by its owners, and we loved it too. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us, and at the same time everything felt close, for example, the delightful outside eating and cooking area, and the elegant sunbeds and chairs gazing out to sea; and the pool was brilliant with its glass edges. We felt privileged to be staying there. All in all this was one of our most memorable trips. The homeliness of the villa and its gardens, the stunning views, and the proximity of a little cove where we swam at first light on several mornings, will stay with us through the winter months and beyond.

Our experience at Galatea was perfect, a definite place to return to. It was beautiful and exactly as advertised. We are in the process of booking for next year again with you as it was such a good holiday. We now want to bring the whole family back again. All in all, the best holiday we've had in years.

Galatea was an exceptional villa. Beautifully maintained and looked after. We could not fault it. The location and views were breathtaking, and it's a very easy villa to stay in. It's in a stunningly quiet area with uninterrupted views of the sea and islands beyond and a 15-minute walk through olive groves down to a very secluded bay. We could not have asked for more! We absolutely fell in love with Meganissi and the surrounding islands. We will be back!
