Inside

occupying a panoramic position above the sea, Antheia was designed by a Corfu-based architect and lovingly crafted by a local builder. The accommodation flows over two floors.

A welcoming central courtyard, delimited by gracious stone arches and flanked by a pair of murmuring water features, offers guests their first glimpse of the enchanting sea views. On the left, a door opens into the property's main communal area, a graciously furnished open-concept space with lofty wood-beamed ceilings. To one side is a well-equipped contemporary kitchen with island, while to the other is a circular dining table, and a pair of sink-in sofas flanking a fireplace. Light and sea views flood in through three sets of French windows, which also provide access to a long shaded terrace. The high-quality décor, the gentle palette, the natural fabrics, the subtle lighting, and a strategic scattering of original artworks all combine to create a tranquil and sophisticated ambience that is replicated throughout the property. It may come as no surprise to discover that the owner is a successful interior designer.

Back in the central courtyard, a second door opens into the sleeping quarters, which are arranged over two levels. First is a good-sized double bedroom with a pair of French windows looking out over Vathi Bay and a lovely en-suite bathroom with a large tub, double sinks, and separate walk-in shower.

Stairs lead down to the lower ground floor and the second bedroom, a luminous double/twin with en-suite shower room and a pair of French windows opening out onto the pool terrace.

A corridor leads from the second bedroom (which is next to a handy guest WC) into a living area-cum-TV snug, furnished with an L-shaped sofa and a desk.

Then comes the third and main bedroom, a generously proportioned double with sitting area, en-suite bathroom with large shower and double sinks, a walk-in wardrobe, and a pair of French windows opening out onto the pool terrace.

Outside

the open-concept space on the main floor opens out via a series of French windows onto a large shaded terrace that runs along the entire façade of the property and links with the central courtyard. Beautifully fashioned stone arches frame the spectacular views of Vathi Bay, the sea, and Skorpios island, once the private home of the Onassis family. Equipped with top quality outdoor furniture and set up for dining and relaxing, one could quite easily spend all day here, watching the yachts come and go.

Steps lead down to a large sun-soaked terrace, which is also accessed from the two lower floor bedrooms. Here, sitting in a perfect panoramic position, and bordered by beds of Mediterranean flowers and shrubs, is the irresistible infinity pool and more of those mesmerising views.

The stone-clad frontage of the house's lower level blends in with tall stone perimeter walls which, topped with more colourful flora, create a cocoon of serenity and seclusion.

Last, but by no means least is a sublime roof-top belvedere accessed via a flight of steps from the central courtyard. The views and are arguably at their best from here, and it is the perfect spot for any early risers in your group to sip a coffee and contemplate the start of another day in paradise.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

Although this property is located within walking distance of some shops and restaurants, we strongly recommend that you hire a car.

Due to the nature of this property, we cannot accept bookings with children.

Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
