NB: A double-twin bedroom has two single beds that can either be joined together to create a double bed or left separate as two single beds.

Reduced Occupancy

During the shoulder seasons, Al Olivar has a reduced price for a group of up to 2 that only need up to 4 bedrooms. The bedrooms not required will be closed, but the rest of the villa, its amenities and its grounds will remain at the complete disposal of guests. Should you book the reduced occupancy rate, the best bedrooms will be prepared for you.

Inside

Al Olivar encapsulates all that's best about contemporary holiday villa design. The main entrance leads into the spacious, open-plan living and dining areas and well-equipped kitchen. Wall-length sliding glass doors in the living area offer views of and access to the outdoor living and dining areas and the pool beyond.

Also on the ground floor are two light and airy bedrooms, a double with an en-suite shower room, and a double-twin with a shower room next door to it, also accessed from the living area. Both these bedrooms feature French doors opening onto the pool terrace.

Upstairs are two more double-twin bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room. One opens out onto a large, comfortably furnished and extremely panoramic communal terrace that's also accessible from the landing. All bedrooms and the living area have ceiling fans as well as air-con.

Outside

enclosed by its traditional Greek stone walls, Al Olivar offers total privacy and over 1.25 acres of space for fun, relaxation and summery pursuits. From the living area one accesses a fully furnished al fresco living and dining area looking over the pool, the gardens and the bay down below.

An easy, wide path leads down through fragrant Mediterranean flora to the private seafront bathing platform from where you can swim in the clear waters of the Ionian, or head to the jetty and take out Al Olivar's four kayaks (two doubles and two singles), 4 SUP boards, or one of the three sailing dinghies: Topper Magno (up to 4 people), a Topper Topaz (2 people) and a Topper Taz (1 person or 2 children). The Taz is specifically for kids and very easy to sail, even for a complete beginner. These dinghies and the boat jetty are all shared with Ondine, the villa next door, however each house has its own private boat mooring and bathing platform.

Al Olivar and Ondine are some of the few villas in the area with their own moorings, and guests who own or hire a boat may moor it there during their stay (please check with us to ensure it's not too big to moor here), explore the island by water and even sail to Vathi for shopping or lunch!

A panoramic terrace to the side of the house is home to a barbecue and second al fresco dining area, while aperitifs can only be taken in one place: the first floor terrace, from which, as the sun goes down, you may toast your luck at being in such a special spot!

Neighbouring houses Al Olivar and Ondine, have an incredible range of water sports equipment, including sailing dinghies, kayaks and paddle boards.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

This property is surrounded by countryside, some of which is unfenced and may include drops or steep slopes. We therefore recommend that younger children are supervised by an adult when exploring the grounds.

As this villa is located on an island, we recommend extra caution when booking your flights to avoid problems or delays with ferries and hydrofoils. It may be advisable to arrive a day earlier and depart a day later. Please contact us for any information or advice.

Please note that there is no real shallow end in the pool, whose minimum depth is over 1.3m.

The bay below Al Olivar can get quite busy with boats in July and August and those who moor there are sometimes audible in the villa's outdoor areas.

Please note that due to the risk of wildfires, the use of fire pits and barbecues is restricted when the weather is windy or temperatures are high. This is particularly common in July and August. More information will be provided in your House Guide and via your local specialist.
