Words cannot express how magical our stay at Villa Ella was. My family and I spent our days mesmerized by the beauty that surrounds this villa. We made the most of every drop of sunshine by basking in the heat around the fabulous swimming pool. The facilities are perfect, giving us everything we wanted and needed. My family and I truly had a holiday to remember and made some of the best forever memories. We will be back.

What a fantastic time at beautiful Villa Ella! Our family of five came from the US and had never been to Lefkada, but enjoyed every moment. The layout and views were terrific, as we spent most of our time hanging out by the pool and taking in the landscape scenery. We also were able to walk down to the town multiple times for coffee, drinks, and dinner. We are Greek American so have spent a lot of time in this country, but this experience has truly been unique and outstanding. The service and responsiveness was also a 10/10. We look forward to returning.

What stood out about Villa Ella was the view and the layout. The pool was perfect and the air-conditioned rooms were modern. Also the kitchen was well-equipped! This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure of using The Thinking Traveller and we’ve had an exceptional experience once again. Our stay was exceptional, filled with unforgettable moments thanks to The Thinking Traveller's outstanding service. Their team’s deep knowledge of the region enriched our experience with insightful local tips and recommendations from choosing the right island and the perfect accommodation for our families. The concierge service was incredibly helpful, ensuring our villa was well-stocked with necessities, including food upon arrival. We highly recommend The Thinking Traveller and will definitely use their services again for a seamless and memorable holiday.

Villa Ella sits in a panoramic position in the southeast of Lefkada above buzzing Sivota harbour, whose popular waterfront tavernas, cafés and boat hire options are within walking distance down a country path (about 500m) or a 3-minute drive.
Also within an easy drive of Villa Ella is a good selection of beaches, including those at Afteli, Ammousa, Vassiliki and Mikros Gialos.
Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is relatively easy in a week (if you can pull yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and offers a great deal to see and do. The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline includes a host of golden sandy beaches and the dramatic white cliffs Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip. The wooded mountains of the interior, some of which rise to over 1,100m, offer excellent walking, some truly beautiful scenery and a scattering of unspoilt villages where the way of life remains profoundly connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs.
The island's capital, Lefkada Town, meanwhile, is a buzzing centre with plenty of seafront tavernas and bars, a good selection of shops, and a busy marina.
At its northern point Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the port of Nidri, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it eminently possible to explore further afield.

The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline boasts a host of sandy beaches, secluded pebbly coves and dramatic white cliffs, such as those of Cape Lefkatas on the southernmost tip. Most beaches can be reached by car and a walk, though a few are only accessed via sea, a good excuse for hiring a boat for a day or two.
