Frequently Asked Questions

Why Visit Corinth?

Few places in Greece can rival Corinth's historical significance. Once the gateway between mainland Greece and the Peloponnese, it played a pivotal role in the ancient world. Today, visitors can explore the remarkable ruins of Ancient Corinth, including the Temple of Apollo and the bustling ancient forum, before ascending to Acrocorinth, a dramatic hilltop fortress with sweeping views over land and sea. Our luxury Corinth villas offer an ideal starting point for discovering this captivating corner of Greece.

Where Should You Stay in Corinth?

The area around ancient Corinth and the Peloponnese coast south of the canal is the most rewarding base for those drawn to the archaeological sites. The coast east of the city, towards Loutraki and the Saronic Gulf, offers access to crystalline seas and beaches with a hush-hush quality. The Perachora peninsula, a narrow headland with an ancient sanctuary and a small harbour, is one of the area's most rewarding half-day excursions. Our Villa Specialists can advise on the best Corinth villas for your stay.

What is there to do in Corinth?

Whether you're drawn to history, gastronomy or life on the water, Corinth delivers a rich and varied holiday experience. Walk among the ruins of Ancient Corinth, admire the far-reaching views from Acrocorinth and marvel at the engineering feat of the Corinth Canal. Beyond the landmarks, the region invites slower pleasures, from private wine tastings and chef-prepared villa dinners to sailing adventures along the coast. How to Get to Corinth

Trains from Athens Airport and central Athens (Larissa Station) also run regularly to Korinthos Station, with journey times of around 90 minutes. Once you arrive, we recommend hiring a car to make the most of the region's coastline, wineries and archaeological sites at your own pace. From our local specialist

Tree Doorway

"Corinth is where ancient wonders meet modern elegance. One of my favourite experiences is a boat trip through the Corinth Canal at sunset—the towering rock walls and golden light make for an unforgettable sight. For a lively evening, head to Loutraki, just a short drive away. With its chic seaside bars, excellent seafood restaurants, and famous thermal spa, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring."
