Port assistance
Our car rental service includes complimentary assistance at the port.
Our trusted car hire partner is just a five-minute walk from the ferry disembarkation point, conveniently located just outside the port’s traffic-restricted zone. We will provide them with all the necessary information to prepare your rental agreement before your arrival. This means that you can avoid waiting in queues and enjoy your vacation from the moment you arrive!
In-villa delivery
If you don't want to drive at the beginning or end of your holiday, we can organise a private port or airport transfer for your group, then have your rental car brought to the villa when you're ready to start exploring or arrange a pick-up from there before you depart.
Disclaimers
Driving Licence Requirements:
- All drivers must hold a valid driving licence and be between the ages of 23 and 75, with at least two years of driving experience.
- If you do not hold a UK or EU licence, you may be required by local authorities to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP). This is typically straightforward to arrange—contact the authority that issued your licence to request the relevant application form.
Insurance and Damage Coverage:
- Add Full theft protection for €19 per day
- Theft Protection covers the vehicle itself but does not include personal belongings left inside.
- Add WUG (Wheels, Underneath, Glass) for €15-19 per day
Responsibility and Disputes:
- The Thinking Traveller acts as an introducer to car hire companies and cannot mediate or negotiate on your behalf in the event of any damage, disputes, or disagreements with the rental provider.
We strongly recommend reading the full terms and conditions of your car hire agreement upon booking and prior to collecting your vehicle.
