Detailed villa description
Inside: taking its inspiration from a traditional Sicilian baglio, the living and sleeping areas at Adagio are organised like a horseshoe around the internal courtyard, from which each has its own private access. The main entrance leads into the spacious, comfortably furnished living room, with sofas, an open fireplace and great views of the vineyards that descend all the way to the sea. To the left of the living room is the dining room and adjacent kitchen. This latter is in contemporary style and has a breakfast table, views over the olive groves and access to the internal courtyard. To the right of the living room are two bedrooms, sharing a shower room. The first is a double-twin room with access to the front terrace and views over the vineyards, while the second has a lovely four-poster bed and access onto the internal courtyard. A staircase leads from the living room to the first floor and its master suite, complete with adjacent shower room and walk-in wardrobe. The real highlight of this room, however, is the view of the sea during the day and the starry night sky, perfectly framed by the large picture window.
Outside: the charming sheltered internal courtyard is an excellent spot for al fresco meals and features a large dining table, a barbeque area and a selection of Mediterranean shrubs. It is on the large covered front terrace, however, where you will probably spend most of your time, gazing out to sea, raising a toast to the sinking sun and enjoying convivial dinners with your family and friends. Accessed from the living room, the dining room and one of the ground floor bedrooms, this area offers plenty of comfy-cushioned lounging opportunities and a capacious table for al fresco meals. A further outdoor sitting area with sofas and armchairs is situated just in front of this terrace, ensuring that there is plenty of space for everyone to find their own personal favourite spot… though some might never manage to tear themselves away from the lovely panoramic pool, surrounded by a decked terrace and furnished with inviting sun loungers.
