Having fun on the water in Corfu


Corfu's transparent, calm and warm summer waters lend themselves to water sports of all kinds and the island is blessed with lots of options to choose from. Here are our favourites on the northwest coast within easy reach of our villas on Corfu

Sailing, windsurfing and power boat courses

 Corfu Sailing Centre has been offering dinghy sailing and windsurfing courses on beautiful Avlaki bay for many years. Lessons are in English and after a three-day course you won't want to stop.

Corfu Sea School is based in and operates out of Corfu Marina in Gouvia. They offer courses in sailing and powerboat driving. After a two or three-day course in the latter, you will be able to get your RYA Level 2 certificate, allowing you to rent and take out powerboats of any HP by yourself.

Scuba diving

Waterhoppers are based in Ipsos and dive off Kruzeri Beach, just South from Agni. They provide full tuition (Open Water qualifications taken over 3-5 days and Junior Open Water certificates) and 45-minute dives.

Water skiing, jet skiing and other watersports

SAKIS Watersports, based in Kalami, has been operating for many years and is well-known for their quality tuition in waterskiing and wakeboarding. They also offer a range of fun rides  (ringos, sofa rides etc.)

Corfu Ski Club, is located in Daphnila, just a 5-10 minute drive from Komeno. It is one of the very few clubs that offers a range of jet ski options (110HP, 145HP and 180HP) as well as water skiing, wakeboarding and paragliding tuition and fun rides (including an “extreme” one called the FlyFish).
