Five remarkable retreats

The Week

Villa La Limonaia sits at the end of a narrow road bordered by lemon groves (...). Living areas are spacious and open plan, with French windows leading out to first-floor terraces where you can "have morning coffee gazing up at Mount Etna, and lunch at the opposite end, staring out to sea" (cooked and served, if you choose, by a visiting chef and waiter). But the real "wow-factor" here is the pool, which is "immaculately kept" and surrounded by "gnarled olives" and heavily laden pomegranate trees. "There's only one thing to do amid such beauty", and that's jump right in.
